Eddie R. Kalson Jr., 52, of Peoria, passed away at 3:16 PM on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Richard L. Owens Hospice in Peoria, IL. He was born on February 7, 1968 in Pekin, IL to Eddie R. Sr. and Vickie (Byers) Kalson.

Eddie is survived by his father; one sister, Lori (Tony) Abel; aunt, Kathy Hand; cousin, Meghan Hand; great-cousin, Barrett Read; nephew, Logan Abel; niece, Emily (Eric) Wilson; great-niece, Mabel Wilson; and best friend, John (Kim) Lovell.

He is preceded in death by his mother; paternal grandparents, Max (Katherine) Rupert; maternal grandparents, Pete (Betty) Staten.

Eddie was a drummer since he was 10 years old. He had a passion for music and played in many bands. A few bands he played in was Broken Halo and Charlotte’s Web. He loved his family and friends. Eddie enjoyed playing pool and chess. He also attended Riverside Community Church in Peoria.

Graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Liverpool Cemetery in Liverpool, IL. A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM before the service at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Pastor John King will officiate. Memorials may be made to Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory.

    I’m so sorry for your loss of Eddie, he was a great guy, drummer, and friend to many. He was taken way too soon 😔. Sending out thoughts and prayers to his family and loved ones 🙏❤
