Peoria – Marjorie Anne Russell, 79, of Peoria, passed away at 2:09 AM on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Amy’s Country Manor in Pekin, IL. She was born on July 13, 1940 in Billings, MO to Wyves and Venice (Talley) Janes. She married Maxie Udel Russell on May 19, 1956. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2019.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Howard, Jimmy, Orville, Bobby, and Billy Janes, and two sisters, Charlene Young and Mary Lou Andrews.

Surviving are three children, Teresa Johnson of Payson, AZ, Donald (Cheryl) Russell of Bartonville, IL, and Tina (Kurt) Konrath of Sun City, AZ, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 mandates, a private graveside service will be held at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, IL. Rev. Kevin VanTine will officiate. Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. To make online condolences you may go to

    The England family, Lewistown, is very sorry for the loss of your Mother. Our Grandma Lela, was a sister to your Grandma Vivian. We have always thought a lot of Maxie’s family.
