Thanks Bev, she is at peace now, we are thankful for that. Was great to see your Mom & Dad, was really nice for my Dad to be able to visit with them, old wonderful memories! Was also great to see Dale, please thank him for bringing them on such a horribly cold day!

    Dear Uncle Wayne and Family,
We were so very sorry to hear about the loss of Aunt Marty. I can’t imagine the pain and deep sadness your entire family is feeling. Aunt Marty was truly a giving and remarkable (and just a wee bit sassy and strong-willed too/smiles) woman in her own way. Her oxtail soup was a favorite of mine (once I got over that “oxtail” part).
Although it’s been 50 years ago, I have never forgotten the kindness and love you and Aunt Marty showed me while I lived in your home for almost a year. I realize how hard that must have been for you both, especially already having three kids of your own. You both accepted me, treated me as one of your own, and kept me stable during a very uncertain and unstable time in my life. (I was an insecure scared mess!). I will forever be grateful for Aunt Marty, you, and Shirley, Junior and Tammy for allowing me to be a part of your lives. I was truly blessed by her and your family’s generosity and love.
Please know that we are lifting you all up in prayer as you go through this grieving process. We love you all dearly,
Nancy (formerly Strosnider) and Bill Slagle
PS – What a beautiful picture of Aunt Marty

I will forever remember the awesome smile and laugh we were greeted with on each visit. We may not have seen much of each other over the years. However a trip to Peoria wasn’t complete without a trip to aunt Marty and uncle Wayne’s house. Definitely the first time I encountered a cactus. Haha…Fly high Aunt Marty!
