Robert Raymond Hubbs

Robert Raymond Hubbs, 84, of Sunnyvale, CA, formerly of Canton, IL passed away January 30, 2021 in CA. Bob was born August 17, 1936 in Burlington Iowa, son of Raymond and Cecile (Cox) Hubbs. Bob married his love Judy (Judine) Fultz in Canton’s First Christian Church Chapel August 9, 1958. He is survived by his children Elizabeth, Michael, grandson Zak all of California and his sister Adrianne, Macomb, IL. Bob grew up in Canton, attended colleges across the mid-west, including a Master’s Degree from Ohio State and enjoyed a career of teaching high school through college for 45 years. In retirement Bob was active in traveling, civil war preservation, and a volunteer at Alcatraz Island. Bob loved the outdoors and did plenty of camping, hiking, and sightseeing in his adopted CA home, as well as the fine wines and foods of CA much of which he prepared himself – he being a fine cook. He became a SF Giants fan (keeping those Cubs close to his heart) and attended many games with his wife and family. He loved photography and bird watching as well.
