Sharon Hillebrand

Farmington – Sharon Hillebrand, 86, of Farmington, passed away at 9:45 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at UnityPoint Health Methodist. She was born on January 22, 1935 in Pekin, IL to Paul and Ella (Kimbrell) Long. She married David Hillebrand on January 13, 1961 in Metropolis, IL. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1985.

Sharon was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, John Long, and one sister, Linda Polen.

Surviving are three children, John (Dianna) Hillebrand of Farmington, Lisa Hillebrand of Farmington, and Susan Hillebrand of Fayetteville, AR, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Sharon graduated from Farmington High School in 1953 and then graduated from Graham School of Nursing in 1958. She retired as an RN. Sharon loved to play bingo.

Private graveside services will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington, IL. Pastor David Swain will officiate. Memorials can be made to Graham School of Nursing or Farmington Rescue Squad 1100.     You will miss her, but I can hear the “nursing stories” she is sharing with the other nurses up there. I enjoyed sharing some with her. Keep the memories and love and let the sadness pass.

    Our Condolences to the Whole Family. Lord Grant the Family and Friends of Sharon to be Comforted. Ease the hole of Her passing. May Broken Hearts be filled with the memories of Happier times.     Your mother, and grandmother was a very special friend to the whole Thompson family, we shall never forget her kindness, whether in visits, trips thru the years, fishing at the Sportsman Club, and receiving such encouraging cards she would send to us on our birthdays and other occasions.
